Does Emberville list DualSense or DualShock support before EA?

The full game lists Partial Controller Support, DualShock, and DualSense. The Demo does not. Those labels are not a pad test or a Deck badge.

Does Emberville list DualSense or DualShock support before EA?#

Yes, as store labels on the full game. Accessed 2026-11-05. App 2295170 lists Partial Controller Support, DualShock Controller Support, and DualSense Controller Support. Demo App 5355880 does not list those three. A label is not an Observed pad test, and it is not a Steam Deck Verified badge. The payload has no steam_deck_compatibility object, so Deck status stays Unknown.

The appdetails list repeats DualShock under category ids 55 and 56, and DualSense under ids 57 and 58. Each pair is the same description twice. This page counts one DualShock label and one DualSense label. Partial Controller Support is category id 18, a separate label.

Players who search for PS5 support will land on the DualSense label. The store text says DualSense Controller Support. It does not say PS5, and this site has not run a DualSense, DualShock, or PS5 session.

This page is the label check. Whether Steam Input can remap buttons is a different question, kept on Can you remap Emberville controls with Steam Input before EA?. That page does not turn these labels into a button map.

The full game is still coming_soon, with the date string Jan 7, 2027. The Demo is free, type demo, released Oct 19, 2026, and its fullgame field points at 2295170. A controller label on a Coming soon app does not prove the pad works before unlock.

The same split was already on Demo vs full game: which Steam feature labels differ?. The 2026-11-05 read still matches it. The Demo list does include Single-player, Game demo, Adjustable Text Size, Camera Comfort, Custom Volume Controls, Adjustable Difficulty, Save Anytime, Stereo Sound, Surround Sound, and Steam Cloud. It does not include the three controller labels above, and it does not include Family Sharing.

What the labels do not prove#

DualSense Controller Support does not mean this site pressed buttons on a DualSense pad. DualShock Controller Support does not mean a DualShock session. Partial Controller Support does not name which actions are on the pad and which stay on keyboard or mouse. Bindings stay Unknown.

None of the three labels is Steam Input API, and none is Full controller support. An older 2026-10-14 check listed those two names. The 2026-10-29 lock and this 2026-11-05 list do not restate them as category descriptions. The remap FAQ keeps that history. This page does not revive those two names as current categories.

The labels are also not a Steam Deck result. Offline play & Steam Deck Verified expectations before EA still has no Deck badge to grade, because neither payload includes steam_deck_compatibility. Windows is the only true platform flag on both apps. A controller category does not add Mac, Linux, or Deck. See Is Emberville on Mac or Linux before Early Access?.

Demo Alpha 0.20.18.x is a note about L/R shoulder buttons in some menus. That sentence is graded on Did Demo patch 0.20.18.x fix Emberville controller menus?. It is not a DualSense or DualShock feature test, and this site has not Observed the menu fix in game.

No newer studio patch#

The 2026-11-05 news feed still has no studio Community Announcement newer than the October 26 delay, gid 1847286114046455 (Emberville Early Access Delayed, Launching January 7th 2027). Demo patch notes stop at 0.20.18.x (gid 1847286114033847, 2026-10-22). PC Gamer and PlayGround.ru items remain Unverified external press. This page does not add a patch article, and it does not invent a later patch id.

Single-player is a separate label on both apps. It is not a controller fact. Is Emberville single-player only on Steam before EA? covers that list. Price is still absent. How much does Emberville cost on Steam before Early Access? covers the missing price. The store baseline stays on What does Emberville's Steam page confirm before EA?.
