Why this page exists#
Players keep asking which languages Emberville will ship with on Early Access Day-1. The honest answer lives on the Steam store language table for App 2295170 — not in a rumor thread. This note copies that matrix with evidence grades and spells out what the table does not prove.
Confirmed language matrix (Steam store)#
Accessed 2026-10-14 from the Emberville Steam store page. Steam shows nine supported languages; the rows below are the ones the store currently expands with Interface / Full Audio / Subtitles marks.
| Language | Interface | Full Audio | Subtitles | Grade |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| English | Yes | Yes | Yes | Confirmed |
| Spanish - Spain | Yes | — | Yes | Confirmed |
| French | Yes | — | Yes | Confirmed |
| German | Yes | — | Yes | Confirmed |
| Japanese | Yes | — | Yes | Confirmed |
| Other languages in the Steam “See all 9” list | Listed on store | Check store | Check store | Confirmed that Steam lists nine total; open the store drawer for the remaining rows |
Re-open the store page on Day-1. Language rows can change without a patch notes post.
What this matrix does not mean#
- Full audio for every language — Unknown / false for the non-English rows above. Only English shows Full Audio on the store table we accessed.
- In-game UI completeness at EA launch — Unknown. A store Interface checkbox is not the same as every menu string being finished on Day-1.
- Voice-over quality or dialect coverage — Unknown until Observed on a build.
- Community patch / fan translation support — Unknown. Workshop / modding is discussed as a later full-version direction on the EA FAQ; that is a different claim and stays out of this matrix.
- Steam Deck language picker behavior — Unknown here; see the Steam Deck field note for Deck-specific checks.
Player actions before Day-1#
- Open App 2295170 → scroll to Languages → expand “See all”.
- Screenshot or copy the Interface / Audio / Subtitles columns into your own checklist.
- If you need a non-English language for accessibility, treat English-only full audio as Confirmed risk and plan for subtitle reliance.
- On Day-1, mark each language row Observed only after you boot that locale yourself (note build id + date).
How this ties to other notes#
- Store-wide Confirmed baselines: Steam store facts before Emberville EA
- Track store text drift: Steam store change-log sheet
- Do not invent inheritance or villager numbers while waiting for localized strings — keep those Unknown on the worksheet pages.
