What languages will Emberville Early Access list on Steam?#
On the 2026-11-03 English appdetails read, App 2295170 names nine languages. English is the only name with the full-audio asterisk. Spanish - Spain, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Portuguese - Brazil are listed beside it. Whether the January 7 Early Access build matches that string is Unknown. This page does not publish a localization roadmap.
The question is the store list players will see at Early Access, not a retelling of the October 29 platform lock and not a second copy of the older checkbox worksheet. Those pages stay linked below. This one answers the list, the full-audio mark, and what the list does not prove.
Evidence grades#
| Grade | Use on this page |
|---|---|
| Confirmed | The supported_languages string in the 2026-11-03 appdetails payload |
| Observed | A boot of that locale on a named build. None on this page |
| Reported | Not used here. No second-hand language chart is promoted |
| Unverified | A trailer voice clip this site did not retest |
| Unknown | Day-1 match, non-English voice coverage, and any future language add |
The 2026-11-03 language string#
Accessed 2026-11-03. The payload field is one HTML string, not a fresh click of every Interface / Full Audio / Subtitles checkbox. The legend in that string says the asterisk marks languages with full audio support. Only English carries the asterisk.
| Language on the string | Full-audio asterisk | Grade |
|---|---|---|
| English | Yes | Confirmed |
| Spanish - Spain | No | Confirmed for this string |
| French | No | Confirmed for this string |
| German | No | Confirmed for this string |
| Japanese | No | Confirmed for this string |
| Korean | No | Confirmed for this string |
| Simplified Chinese | No | Confirmed for this string |
| Traditional Chinese | No | Confirmed for this string |
| Portuguese - Brazil | No | Confirmed for this string |
Demo App 5355880 returns the same nine names and the same English-only asterisk on the same date. That is a store-string match between the Demo and the full game. It is not an Observed in-game language test.
The older worksheet Which languages does Emberville list on Steam before EA? still holds a 2026-10-14 store UI snapshot. That snapshot expanded Interface, Full Audio, and Subtitles columns for English, Spanish - Spain, French, German, and Japanese, and left the other names inside "See all 9." This 2026-11-03 string names the collapsed rows. It does not, by itself, re-prove each Interface or Subtitles checkbox. Absence of an asterisk means the string does not mark full audio. It does not newly prove subtitle coverage.
What the list does not mean#
- Day-1 build equals the store string. Unknown. A store list can change without a patch post, and a listed language can still miss menu lines on the first Early Access build. No Observed locale boot exists here.
- Non-English voice. Unknown. The full-audio asterisk is on English only. Named cast credits are a different claim. Read Voice cast is Confirmed — is full VO in EA day one? and do not turn a cast list into a promise of Japanese, Korean, or Chinese voice.
- A localization roadmap. Unknown. This site will not invent dates for more languages or for full audio on the eight unmarked names. If the string changes, log it on What changed on Emberville's Steam page before EA? with the access date.
- Platform or price. Out of scope. Windows-only, Cloud, and the missing price are on Store lock: languages, Windows-only, Cloud — still no price. The date string change on 2026-11-03 is a store fact, not a language fact:
coming_soonis true and the date reads7 Jan, 2027.
What to do with the list#
- If you need full audio, treat English as the only Confirmed full-audio mark on this read. Plan on subtitles or your own test for the other eight names.
- If you need Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Korean, or Portuguese - Brazil, the names are Confirmed on the string. Finished UI text is Unknown until you boot that locale.
- On January 7, mark a language Observed only after you start the game in that locale and write down the build string and the date. Until then the cell stays Unknown.
- Do not copy a fan chart into this table. A screenshot of someone else's client is Unverified until you retest it.
How this sits next to the other notes#
The October 29 lock recorded the same language names in a wider platform pass and is still the right page for Windows-only and the missing price. The checkbox worksheet is still the right page for the 2026-10-14 column snapshot. This page is the player question "which languages at Early Access?" answered from the 2026-11-03 string, with the Day-1 match left Unknown.
Early Access timing is EA delayed to January 7, 2027. Whether to play at all, given session length and save risk, is Is Emberville Early Access worth playing on January 7?.
